What happens

At Camp Callan in California, Jack Benny hosts his Jell-O program for an audience of soldiers, with Don Wilson, Mary Livingstone, Phil Harris and Dennis Day alongside him. Benny boasts of his popularity and trades jokes about Mary's poem, his swimming trip at La Jolla and a bathing suit mishap. Phil Harris announces the birth of his daughter, and the cast passes out cigars and celebrates. Benny then reveals that Jell-O will soon be replaced as sponsor by another General Foods product, and Don Wilson struggles to introduce it. Harris plays a band number, and Andy DuBois drops in briefly. Rochester calls from La Jolla with trouble about the fish.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
