What happens

Jack Benny hosts a comedy variety program in which he and his regulars trade jokes, banter and gags with cast members Mary Livingstone, Frank Parker and Don Bester and his orchestra. The show runs from one bit to the next, including a recycled joke about a traveling salesman, a movie-star talk with Don, and a guest appearance by a soprano, Madame Kirchou, who is asked to sing and gets teased along the way. Jack then introduces a travelogue of romantic Hawaii, which goes badly wrong as the characters wander lost through the islands. Broadcast on November 4, 1934, the program stars Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris, and this portion of the episode ends with the travelogue going astray.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
