Jack Benny spends a quiet Thanksgiving evening at home in Beverly Hills after dinner, but the evening becomes busy as friends drop by. Phil Harris and Dennis Day arrive, and the group sets up a card game, with Rochester handling the furniture and the phone. Other visitors follow, including Mr. Kitzel, who is on his way to the movies. Mary Livingstone calls with a favor request, and Jack's bridge game is full of bidding confusion. Later Jack settles in with a book. This 1949 episode of The Jack Benny Program aired on November 27, 1949, on NBC, with Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris as the leads.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
