What happens

Paladin travels to a remote ranch owned by Joe Whitehorse, an educated Indian facing severe troubles. Whitehorse's cattle are mysteriously dying, and his powerful neighbor McNally forbids any animal to leave McNally's land, threatening to shoot any horse that crosses the boundary. Paladin must discover what is causing the cattle plague and find a way to help Whitehorse navigate the dangerous situation.

Characters: Paladin, Joe Whitehorse, McNally, Pee-vee, Mrs. Whitehorse, the bartender

Listen for: The cause of the cattle sickness and whether Paladin can help Whitehorse overcome McNally's tyranny and the prejudice he faces from the townspeople.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
