What happens

English aristocrat James Brunswick arrives in Montana to claim his inheritance—a share of a ranch co-owned by his cousin Felicia Carson, a capable woman managing the property alone. Brunswick and Paladin travel to Fleetown, where Brunswick's refined manners and unfamiliarity with frontier ways make him the target of local pranks, testing whether he can adapt to his new life in the rugged West.

Fleetown, Montana Territory, 1875; a working cattle ranch in the American West.

Characters: Paladin, James Brunswick, Felicia Carson, Wadi, Angie, Harry Blackfoot

Listen for: The clash between English aristocratic gentility and rough frontier culture, as Brunswick learns that ranching demands toughness and practicality rather than refined manners.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
