What happens
Paladin travels to Tucson after receiving a message from a man named Todd Griffin. At a cantina, he encounters Curly, an old acquaintance who has just been released from six years in territorial prison. Griffin hires Paladin to protect him from McLean, a young man who was imprisoned and recently released, having made a threat six years ago to kill Griffin on sight. Paladin agrees to take the job, though Griffin refuses to explain why McLean made this threat.
Tucson, Arizona, 1875. Cantinas, corrals, and the town streets.
Characters: Paladin, Todd Griffin, Curly, McLean
Listen for: The mystery of what really happened between Griffin and McLean six years ago, and whether Curly's release from prison and his presence in Tucson are connected to this threat.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
