What happens

Paladin is hired by an insurance company to survey freight routes through Nevada. While crossing a mountain pass, he rescues a man named O'Bannon who has fallen from his horse, learning it is St. Patrick's Day and the man's wife Katie's birthday. Months later, passing through the town of Tawana, Paladin discovers that O'Bannon is on trial for robbing a stage and killing a shotgun rider.

Characters: Paladin, Miss Wong, O'Bannon, Katie, Judge, Sheriff

Listen for: The Irish brogue of O'Bannon, the rescue scene on the cliff, and the revelation of O'Bannon's arrest for a serious crime

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
