What happens

Marshall Dillon meets Evie Taggart, a young woman working in Dodge City who fled New York to escape her domineering father. When Mr. Taggart arrives to force his daughter home, he uses his considerable wealth and influence to pressure local businesses into firing her, hoping to starve her out and force her return.
