What happens

Judge Thaddeus, a stern moralist, and his meek wife are shot at in the darkness near the town saloon. Marshal Dillon investigates the mysterious attack, finding that while few people like the judgmental Thaddeus, nobody seems to harbor enough hatred to attempt murder. As the marshal questions the townspeople, secrets about the judge's behavior and relationships begin to surface.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
