What happens

Two homesteaders, Odie Perkins and Brace McCoy, who have worked together for fifteen years, suddenly turn hostile and refuse to say why. When Odie demands that Brace leave their jointly-owned farm, Marshal Dillon settles the dispute by having them draw cards to determine who gets the house and who sleeps in the barn, with strict orders to stay out of each other's way. But within three days, the tension erupts into gunfire.

Listen for: The mystery of why two old partners suddenly became enemies, and whether Marshal Dillon can prevent bloodshed between them.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
