What happens

Lucy Reed, once a dance hall girl, has married the stern religious man Leaf Hunt and tries to build a respectable life, but her past haunts her as Hunt grows increasingly obsessed with his belief that she has led him into sin. As tension mounts between them during a brutal heat wave, Lucy begs Marshal Dillon to intervene before Hunt does something terrible. When Hunt suddenly purchases a gun despite his previous opposition to firearms, the situation becomes dangerously volatile.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
