What happens

Marshal Dillon intervenes when Taylor Evans brutally mistreats his companion Mavis McLeod in the street before departing on a supply run. A refined gambler named Marcus Prince arrives in Dodge City from Philadelphia, and despite his gentlemanly bearing, Dillon warns him against running crooked games and cautions him about settling disputes through violence.

Characters: Matt Dillon, Chester, Mavis McLeod, Taylor Evans, Kitty, Marcus Prince, Doc Adams

Listen for: The contrast between the brutal frontiersman Taylor Evans and the polished, urbane gambler Marcus Prince; Dillon's skepticism about Prince's claims to be an honest gentleman.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
