What happens

Marshal Matt Dillon encounters Carl Killian, a drifter from his past who has a reputation as a hired killer. When a man named Tex Borto comes to Matt seeking protection, claiming Killian was hired in Pueblo to kill him over a fight there, Matt must figure out who Killian is actually here to eliminate while the town lives in fear of an impending murder.
