What happens
A young woman named Sally Burke shoots at Dr. Tucker near the Dodge House, claiming he cheated her out of money in a cattle deal last fall. Sally came to Dodge alone from the Panhandle with her sick horse, hungry and desperate. Marshal Dillon must sort out whether her shooting was justified self-defense or attempted murder.
Dodge City, including the Dodge House, a stable, and the jail
Characters: Marshal Dillon, Chester, Sally Burke, Dr. Tucker, Sam
Listen for: The dispute over a cattle sale and Sally's growing desperation as she faces jail time for attempting to shoot Dr. Tucker.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
