What happens

A young man named Sonny Garner walks into Dodge City and challenges Marshal Dillon to a gunfight in the street. When Chester shoots the gun from Sonny's hand, the boy is arrested. Interrogated in jail, Sonny refuses to reveal who sent him or who his partner is, claiming he was only trying to prove himself a man.

Dodge City, Kansas - the marshal's office and jail

Characters: Matt Dillon, Chester, Sonny Garner, Nate

Listen for: The tense confrontation in the street, Chester's clever markmanship, and Sonny's interrogation where he gradually reveals hints about his mysterious older partner.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
