What happens

When old rancher John Asper discovers that lawyer Rob has allegedly tricked him into signing over his ranch deed, Asper threatens to kill him. Rob agrees to fix the paperwork immediately. Shortly after, Rob is shot through his office window and accuses Asper of the crime, though he never actually saw his shooter. Marshal Matt Dillon must investigate whether Asper is guilty or if someone else is responsible.
