A U.S. Senator arrives in Dodge City to study farming and cattle problems, but is shot and wounded shortly after stepping off the train. Marshal Matt Dillon must investigate the shooting and track down the man seen fleeing the scene, with the town's sheepherder Willie Angel as the only witness to what happened.
Dodge City, Kansas, at the train station and surrounding town
Characters: Matt Dillon, Chester, Doc, Senator Hooper, Willie Angel
Listen for: The mystery of who shot the Senator and why, and whether Willie Angel's testimony will help Matt solve the crime.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
