What happens

A young couple named Tom and his wife arrive in Dodge City seeking a fresh start. When the dangerous gunman Ed Ivers arrives at the general store where Tom's wife works, he claims to recognize her from a riverboat on the Mississippi two years ago, creating tension that threatens to explode into violence.
