What happens

A drifter named Shad comes to Dodge City and spends time talking with Kitty at the Long Branch Saloon, expressing interest in staying longer. Meanwhile, Marshal Matt Dillon suffers from a terrible toothache and arranges with Doc to have the tooth extracted at midnight after drinking enough whiskey to dull the pain.
