What happens

A young drifter named Andy Travis kills the bully Jake Crowell in self-defense at the saloon. Marshal Dillon recognizes Andy's dangerous gun skill and gives him an ultimatum: leave his gun behind and find honest work, or leave Dodge City. Andy agrees to work at the stable, but a mysterious stranger named Joe Kite arrives in town with a cryptic warning for the marshal.
