What happens

Marshal Dillon and Chester seek shelter from a storm at an isolated homestead, where they encounter a woman alone. Later, an angry man named Judd Barton confronts the marshal, claiming he visited Barton's wife without permission and threatening violence. Jenny then appears in town asking Dillon for help, begging him to hide her from her drunken husband.

Characters: Matt Dillon, Chester, Judd Barton, Jenny Barton, Kitty

Listen for: A tall tale about the legendary Windwagon Smith and his prairie clipper, told as Dillon seeks shelter from the storm

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
