What happens
Marshal Matt Dillon investigates the death of Jim Morny, a farmhand found dead after three days missing. Harriet Morny, his widow, has her own suspicions about who was responsible, and she tells Dillon about a neighbor she believes wronged her husband. Dillon examines the evidence she presents, including a club found in a gully after a storm.
