What happens
When a stagecoach is robbed and a man killed, Marshal Dillon learns that Howard Brand, a young settler living near Turkey Creek, was involved. Visiting Brand's wife, Dillon finds Howard dying from wounds received during the robbery. Before he can question him, the wounded man expires, but Mrs. Brand reveals that a man named Jed Butler from the Oklahoma territory planned the crime. Doc Adams then mysteriously disappears, and Dillon fears the outlaws may be holding him captive.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
