What happens

Chester receives an unexpected inheritance of $368.63 from his late cousin Clarence Webley-Prodfoot, arriving just as he faces financial ruin from a farm foreclosure. With newfound money in his pocket, Chester must resist the temptation to gamble it away at the Long Branch saloon.

Dodge City, Kansas

Characters: Chester Wesley Prodfoot, Matt Dillon, Doc, Kitty, Bert Donald, Ed, Sam

Listen for: A letter from lawyers in Waco announcing an inheritance; Chester's plans to use the money; Doc and Matt's concerns about Chester's judgment.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
