What happens
Two drifters, Halloo and Gorse, fleeing Dodge City after shooting a man during a robbery, seek refuge in what they believe is an abandoned cabin. They discover a saddled horse inside and are confronted at gunpoint by the cabin's occupant, who reveals himself to be Marshal Matt Dillon. Dillon has been tracking them all night and now takes them into custody for murder.
Dodge City and the Kansas territory, beginning at night on the prairie near an isolated cabin, then returning to Dodge City the next morning.
Characters: Matt Dillon, United States Marshal, Halloo, Gorse, Kitty, Chester
Listen for: The two fugitives' casual conversation about their fear of dying, their discovery of the hot horse in the cabin, and the marshal's clever tactics in capturing them without violence.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
