What happens

Marshal Dillon arrives in Dodge City to find Ben Williams shot dead in the street. The dying man whispers the name "El Cader" before expiring. A witness identifies the killer as Luke Shippen, who fled on horseback. Dillon and Chester set out for the town of Elkader to track down Shippen, but find the townspeople strangely uncooperative and fearful.
