What happens

When the young woman Gretchen arrives, Emil introduces her to Matt Dillon and the townspeople, but not everyone welcomes the newcomers with open arms.

Dodge City, Kansas - the blacksmith shop, Marshall's office, and saloon

Characters: Matt Dillon, Chester, Emil, Doc, Gretchen, Hippo, Sam, Pullman

Listen for: A charming story of frontier life and immigration, with tensions between old settlers and newcomers; listen for Chester's enthusiasm about the visiting actress Lily Langtry and the gentle romance between Emil and his mail-order bride.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
