What happens
Gildersleeve, the water commissioner of Summerfield, finds the town's water supply has slowed to a trickle. Trying to take the blame away from himself, he gets help from June Stedman, whom he hopes to impress, while Leroy tags along at the office. The story is from The Great Gildersleeve, a series broadcast on NBC and first aired on March 7, 1957. Harold Peary, Willard Waterman, Lillian Randolph and Lurene Tuttle are among the lead actors. Gildersleeve tries to fix the problem and to win over June, who has her own ideas about how the day should go.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
