What happens
Gildersleeve wakes early one spring morning and goes barefoot in his backyard, then gives a crocus to his niece Marjorie, who passes it on to Leila Ransom. Leila rebuffs Throckmorton P. Peavey and Charlie Anderson about women and public property. The Great Gildersleeve, a radio comedy series, is heard on NBC, first aired March 28, 1943, starring Harold Peary, with Willard Waterman, Lillian Randolph and Lurene Tuttle in supporting roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
