What happens
Gildersleeve and his friends in the Jolly Boys Club learn that Judge Hooker has missed their meeting, and rumors spread that he is romancing a stylish woman named Mona Buckley. Gildersleeve confronts the judge over lunch at the Summerfield Grill, where Mona is present, and the judge bristles at the interference. The members decide Mona must be drawn away from the judge, and Gildersleeve agrees to take her out himself. The Great Gildersleeve is a radio comedy series, and this episode first aired on NBC on January 30, 1952, starring Harold Peary and Willard Waterman.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
