What happens

Gildersleeve helps run a booth at the Bundles for Blue Jackets Bazaar, where a fortune-telling tent was planned around a famous yogi who has missed his plane. Leroy and Marjorie persuade the reluctant Gildersleeve to pose as the yogi, promising to feed him gossip about the customers. He first tries a visit to a rival gypsy fortune teller, where a stolen watch becomes a comic complication. Back at the tent, his disguise and his improvised readings draw curious and suspicious visitors, and the day quickly becomes harder to manage than he expected. The episode is a 1942 broadcast of The Great Gildersleeve on NBC, starring Harold Peary.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
