What happens
Floyd Munson's barbershop upstairs serves as headquarters for the Jolly Boys Club, but Floyd announces he has rented the room to a newlywed couple for twenty dollars a month. The club members argue over how to keep their meeting place, and Gildersleeve suggests they ask his wealthy neighbor Rumsen Bullard for the use of a billiard table. Gildersleeve calls on Bullard, who speaks of his valuable books, guns, and London club life, and the visit ends awkwardly. Later, at the club, a quarrel breaks out over Bullard and over whether Gildersleeve has been acting like a snob. The Great Gildersleeve is a radio comedy series heard on NBC, and this episode aired on November 18, 1945. Harold Peary stars, with Willard Waterman, Lillian Randolph, and Lurene Tuttle also appearing.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
