What happens

J.B. Kendall, a newspaper correspondent from London, arrives in Deer Lodge, Montana Territory, where he meets prospector Billy Moore. Billy introduces Kendall to poker at the Deadbroke Bar, where a game develops among Billy, Turkey Johnson, Neil Daggers, the taciturn Mr. You, and Kendall himself. As the evening progresses, Turkey Johnson begins winning significantly, but Kendall finds himself with a strong hand and enters into a high-stakes pot.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
