What happens

In Cheyenne, a correspondent for the London Times meets Kerry Chase, editor of the Daily Press, who introduces him to Buck Wharton, the richest man in the West. Wharton, a rough and boisterous cattle baron, takes a liking to the Englishman and invites him to ride his private train with him and his young wife Minnie to conduct some business at a nearby location.

Cheyenne, Wyoming Territory in the 1870s, including the Cheyenne Club and the railroad station.

Characters: J.B. Kendall, Kerry Chase, Buck Wharton, Minnie Wharton, Jasper

Listen for: The colorful and profane personality of Buck Wharton, the wealthy cattle baron who claims to be able to buy and sell anyone; his relationship with his much younger wife Minnie, a former dancer; and Kendall's observations of frontier wealth and character.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
