What happens
Fred Allen hosts a comedy hour in which guest Leo Durocher, the Brooklyn manager, joins regulars Portland Hoffa, Kenny Delmar and Minerva Pious for topical skits and musical numbers. The program opens with jokes about the National Aviation Show and a question about the city's drive against gambling, which brings out Senator Claghorn, Mrs. Nussbaum and Titus Moody with their own stories. Later, Durocher and Allen turn to baseball and to a comic operetta built around the Brooklyn team. Allen's series aired on CBS and NBC, and this broadcast is dated April 14, 1946.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
