What happens

A cavalry officer helps recover bodies from a derailed train attacked by Indians, then investigates the surrounding settler homesteads to determine if any survivors made it to safety. As Captain Quince and Sergeant Gorse search the area, they find evidence of the raiders' work and must piece together what happened to the settlers in the region.

Fort Laramie territory during the era of railroad expansion; a derailed train and the surrounding frontier homesteads

Listen for: Investigation of a train derailment caused by Indians, recovery of the dead, and the search for survivors among local settlers; Captain Quince's calm reasoning about frontier dangers versus Sergeant Gorse's emotional response.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
