What happens
A stagecoach carrying Mrs. Kleinexel and her daughter Opie breaks a wheel and must stop at Fort Laramie for repairs. While waiting for the wheelwright to fix it by morning, the demanding Mrs. Kleinexel makes arrangements for food, lodging, and a telegraph to her husband in Virginia City. Meanwhile, preparations are underway at the fort for an officers' ball that evening.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
