What happens

Boredom and confinement at Fort Laramie are wearing on the soldiers, leading to tension and violence between enlisted men. Captain Quincy is ordered by Major Daggard to lead a buffalo hunting expedition with fifteen men, including the troublemakers Soothey and Plover, departing tomorrow morning and returning by Saturday sundown.

Characters: Captain Quincy, Major Daggard, Soothey, Plover, Grover, Sergeant Gorse, General Waters

Listen for: The frustration of soldiers stuck doing labor instead of cavalry duties, and the mounting tension that explodes into a knife fight between enlisted men.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
