What happens

Fibber McGee and Molly is the 1941 episode The Watch Salesman, first broadcast on NBC Radio on February 11, 1941, with Harold Peary, Bill Thompson, Gale Gordon and Arthur Q. Bryan in the leading roles. Fibber McGee is handed a job as a local representative for the Meaning Watch Company, which Molly arranged without his knowledge. Fibber sets out to sell watches with Molly along, visiting a time-payment jeweller and then a jewelry store, where a holdup takes place and Fibber is caught up in the chase. The pair are taken before a judge and charged along with the others, and a string of neighbors and acquaintances arrive in the courtroom, making the situation more confused.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
