What happens
Fibber McGee and Molly, the long-running comedy series, follows the McGees as they prepare for a world premiere of their movie at the local theatre in Wistful Vista. Fibber and Molly visit the furniture store to buy a new davenport, and the couple's neighbors Mrs. Uppington, Mr. Wimple and Mr. Boomer drop in with opinions, gifts and rambling stories. Furniture shopping and household fussing dominate the half hour, with Fibber's habit of talking his way into trouble adding to the bustle. The broadcast aired on NBC Radio on November 4, 1941, and stars Harold Peary, Bill Thompson, Gale Gordon and Arthur Q. Bryan.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
