What happens
Fibber McGee and Molly celebrate the fifth anniversary of their radio program on Johnson's Wax with flowers and a telegram, but the mood sours when Fibber spills ink on the living room carpet. The couple tries one remedy after another, starting with salt and milk, while a string of visitors offer their own advice. Mrs. Uppington drops by, Mr. Boomer arrives with a recipe, and Gildersleeve gives his opinion. The carpet keeps getting worse, and the household is left wondering how to save it.
The McGee home at 79 Wistful Vista, on the fifth anniversary of the program.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
