What happens
Fibber McGee and Molly return home from a thirteen-week summer vacation to their house on Wistful Vista. Their neighbors and visitors, including Mrs. Uppington, Billy Mill, Harlow Wilcox, Wallace Whipple and Gildersleeve, greet them, and each one wants to hear about their trip. Fibber is eager to tell everyone about Alaska and the bear he shot, while Molly tries to get the house back in order. Gildersleeve drops in to say goodbye before moving to Summerfield, and the two men argue over a borrowed lawn mower. Gildersleeve's departure ends a day of visits, and the episode opens the Fibber McGee and Molly show's 1941 season on NBC Radio. Harold Peary, Bill Thompson, Gale Gordon and Arthur Q. Bryan are the leading cast members, and the episode first aired on September 30, 1941.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
