What happens
Fibber McGee and Molly follow Fibber as he hauls a car full of collected bottles downtown to sell them for their deposit refunds. Along the way he meets a series of characters, including an old-timer, a grocer named Mr. Depopolis, and a drugstore clerk, and finds that refunds are harder to get than he expected. Molly accompanies him on the trip, and the household's long-running bottle hobby becomes the center of the broadcast's comic misadventures. This episode of the NBC radio series Fibber McGee and Molly first aired on February 25, 1941, with Harold Peary and Bill Thompson in the lead roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
