What happens

Jim and Margaret Anderson's family is looking after Pierre, a valuable toy French poodle belonging to Betty's typing teacher, Mr. Fawcett, who is away at a convention. Betty and her friends have taken turns minding the dog, and Betty is proud of her turn. Jim decides to teach Betty a lesson by hiding Pierre in the garage, and the dog then seems to vanish from the house. Bud and Kathy are sent out to search the neighborhood, while the family scrambles to find the poodle before Mr. Fawcett returns for him.

The White Frame House on Maple Street, in the evening.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
