What happens

Jim Anderson finds himself caught between his neighbors George Newman and Herb Ellis after a minor traffic accident between them, of which he was the only witness. Herb asks Jim to speak for him, and Jim agrees to help, though he is unsure how. Meanwhile, the Anderson household is busy preparing for a children's play, with Kathy in a four-foot rabbit costume, and a delivery of real rabbits from Herb further complicates the afternoon. Jim tries to smooth things over with George, who insists on pursuing a lawsuit. The episode is from the series Father Knows Best, first broadcast on 1953-12-03, with Robert Young as Jim Anderson.

The Anderson home on Maple Street, with the family's den, living room and breakfast room, and the neighboring Ellis and Newman households.

Listen for: Listen for Jim's phone calls with George and Herb as he tries to settle the dispute, and for the rabbits loose in the house.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
