What happens

Father Knows Best follows the Anderson family of Springfield on Thanksgiving Day. Kathy is to read her winning poem at a school competition, but her younger brother and sister and parents keep interrupting, and the day is complicated by the children's plans and small quarrels. Robert Young plays father Jim Anderson in this 1953 episode, which aired on November 26, 1953. The family gathers around the poem and the day's arrangements, and the mood of the household shifts as the afternoon unfolds.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
