What happens
Jim and Margaret Anderson and their children live in a white frame house on Maple Street in Springfield. On a Saturday morning, daughter Betty brings news that her friend Janie's wealthy aunt owns a mink coat, and the family's ordinary routine soon takes an unexpected turn. Janie leaves the coat with the Andersons for safekeeping while her aunt is away, and neighbors and businessmen begin treating the family very differently. Father Knows Best is a radio comedy series, and this episode first aired on January 21, 1954 on NBC, with Robert Young starring as Jim Anderson.
