What happens

Jim Anderson comes down to breakfast on a warm spring Saturday in Springfield and wants to work outdoors, fixing the fence, pruning roses and planning a garden. His wife Margaret has other plans: she is starting spring house cleaning and needs furniture moved and floors scrubbed. Jim tries to avoid the indoor chores while his children Bud, Betty and Kathy squabble over jelly toast and their own jobs. Things grow more tangled when Mr. Bentley, from the home office in Cleveland, telephones to say he is in town and wants to visit the house. The family must decide how to handle a guest who will arrive while the house is still in disarray.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
