What happens
Father Knows Best is a family comedy about the Anderson household on Maple Street. This episode aired on February 25, 1954. Jim Anderson, the father, is balancing his checkbook when he discovers that two of his checks have no stubs, amounts, or dates recorded. Margaret, his wife, is unable to explain them. Jim soon finds that his children, Bud, Betty and Kathy, have their own ideas about money, including Bud's moose-call business and Betty's birthday money order. To teach them how banking works, Jim sets up a pretend bank in the house, with himself as the banker and the children as customers, and the lesson takes an unexpected turn.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
