What happens
Jim Anderson is hurrying to a business appointment in Plainfield one morning when the household descends into chaos over the bathroom, a missing tube of shaving cream, and the family car. Jim has to get to Plainfield by nine, but the car he left downtown has disappeared, and he must find another way to make his meeting. The Anderson children, Betty, Bud and Kathy, each add to the morning's confusion. Father Jim is the central figure as the family's day unravels, with Margaret Anderson trying to keep the household calm. This episode of Father Knows Best was first broadcast on September 14, 1950, and stars Robert Young as the father.
